Common questions for healthcare teams.

Can different departments have different shift patterns at the same facility?
Yes. pPULSE handles per-department shift groups: ICU on 12-hour rotations, OPD on standard 8-hour shifts, support staff on 9-to-6 with biometric check-in. Group rules are independent.
How do leaves work for staff with grade-specific entitlements?
Leave types are configured per role/grade. A senior consultant might get 30 CL + 20 SL + 10 conference days; a ward boy gets the standard CL + SL + festival leaves. Allocation is automatic on hire.
Does pPULSE track Medical Council and certification expiries?
Yes — the document vault stores professional registrations with expiry dates and sends reminders 60/30/7 days before expiry. Critical for clinical staff whose certifications gate their right to practise.
What about doctors who are not on the payroll?
Visiting consultants on retainer are managed as contract employees with their own payment workflow (no PF/ESIC, separate TDS section under 194J). Their attendance is logged for visit-based billing.
